2. AI Features in the Fiest Dashboard

Fiest currently offers the following AI-powered features:

  • AI-generated menu descriptions - Automatically create compelling descriptions for your menu items based on their name, category, and ingredients.
  • AI-generated images - Create professional food photography and restaurant banner images.
  • AI-generated menu items (coming soon) - Get menu item suggestions based on your restaurant type and existing offerings.

3. AI Providers and Transparency

We believe in transparency about the AI technologies we use. Fiest partners with industry-leading AI providers:

  • OpenAI - Powers our text generation features, including menu item descriptions. We use GPT models through OpenAI's API.
  • Replicate - Powers our image generation features, including menu item photos and restaurant banners.

Your data is processed through these providers' APIs in accordance with their respective privacy policies and our data processing agreements with them.

4. AI Limitations and Accuracy

While AI technology is powerful, it has limitations. Please be aware of the following:

  • AI-generated content may occasionally contain inaccuracies or inappropriate suggestions. Always review content before publishing.
  • Generated images are artistic interpretations and may not exactly match your actual dishes.
  • AI models can sometimes produce unexpected results. If you encounter issues, please report them to our support team.
  • We do not guarantee the absence of copyright concerns in AI-generated images, though we use models designed to minimize such risks.

By using our AI features, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • The inputs you provide (such as menu item names, categories, and restaurant details) are sent to our AI providers to generate content.
  • We do not use your restaurant's sensitive business data (such as sales figures, customer information, or financial data) for AI processing.
  • AI-generated content may be used by Fiest to improve our services, but we will not share your specific restaurant data with third parties for their own purposes.
  • All data transfers are encrypted and comply with GDPR and Finnish data protection regulations.

6. Restaurant Responsibilities

As a restaurant using our AI features, you are expected to:

  • Review and verify all AI-generated content before publishing it on your Fiest profile or any other platform.
  • Ensure that AI-generated content accurately represents your offerings and aligns with your brand.
  • Not use AI-generated content for fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive purposes.
  • Report any issues, inaccuracies, or concerns with AI-generated content to Fiest support.

7. AI-Generated Content Marking

In accordance with EU AI Act requirements and our commitment to transparency, AI-generated images created through Fiest may be marked or include metadata indicating they were created using AI. This helps maintain trust with your customers and complies with emerging regulations.

8. Ethical AI Commitment

We are committed to the responsible and ethical use of AI:

  • We regularly evaluate our AI providers and models to ensure they meet our quality and safety standards.
  • We work to minimize potential biases in AI-generated content, particularly in food descriptions and imagery.
  • We provide human oversight tools, allowing you to edit, regenerate, or reject any AI-generated content.
